Last week, several demand-side platform (DSP) companies were informed that their advertiser clients could no longer buy Yahoo! remnant, display ad inventory through their DSP seat on the Right Media Exchange (RMX). Fans and Friends of Fans More Likely to Buy

According to comScore (InternetRetailer link):

Wal-Mart’s Facebook fans are 40% more likely to buy from Wal-Mart than the average shopper, and her Facebook friends are 25% more likely to buy, comScore says. A similar impact also shows up for such major retailers as Best Buy and Target.

The article in Internet Retailer details what comScore found for other large retailers:

The research showed that fans of Target on Facebook are 57% more likely to buy from the retailer and their Facebook friends are 8% more likely to make a purchase at Target than consumers who have no Facebook connection to the retailer.
